Local Authority Sheltered Accommodation Feasibility Study, North Essex

We were asked to explore the redevelopment of four sheltered accommodation blocks of various sizes across the Borough each block providing up to 50 dwellings.

Preliminary site appraisals were undertaken and conceptual 3d plans developed to articulate potential options and to highlight challenges Associates with each site.

The main challenges were increasing property density when compared to the original accommodation while meeting stringent Planning and Regulatory constraints and existing infrastructure including but not limited to Public Sewers and access to highways.

Following the feasibility, RTA were asked to develop one of the schemes which was built and handed over late 2024.
