RTA started off with our Director working alone in a spare bedroom in his private property in 2006 in Colchester. Since then, RTA has taken a steady trajectory of improvement and growth, one that is sustainable and reliable centred around competence and professionalism.
The industry has become incredibly complex which has meant that sole practitioners struggle to operate due to the broad range of knowledge and specialisms required to undertake even the simplest of projects having to have knowledge in Planning Law, Building Regulations, Party Wall Legislation, Health and Safety Legislation, Fire Safety, Biodiversity Net Gain, SAP assessments to mention a few.
To engage a large practice will engage a large fee and an impersonal service, to engage a sole practitioner may invite problems due to the overwhelming complexity of the industry but to engage a small diverse practice such as RTA can offer a rare compromise where professionalism, competence at a fair price converge.
The industry is squeezing out the sole practitioner, we recognize this through our experience of starting off as a sole practitioner and witnessing the way in which the industry has changed since we started out.
