Party Wall Project – Fulham Town Hall

In the heart of Fulham, RTA acted as the Building Owner’s Surveyor under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 administering over 20 separate Party Wall Awards in what was one of the most interesting buildings we’ve had the pleasure of working with.

The Fulham Town Hall building is no longer used by Fulham Council.  The Grade 2 listed building was sold and is currently being developed and refurbished for use as a Hotel.

The project, in Party Wall terms included the following key aspects:

1. Deep excavation for the construction of a new basement storey immediately adjacent to multiple residential and commercial properties.
2. Raising of the Party Wall to enclose upon a new upper storey.
3. Excavation and construction of new reinforced pad foundations supporting new structural columns required for the introduction of the new upper floor.
4. Underpinning of the existing Party Walls affecting multiple commercial and residential properties.
5. Security for Expenses.
