Giulia Pasqualini Galliani – Chartered Architect
ARB, RIBA - Chartered Architect
Giulia studied and obtained her European degree at the University of Genova, Italy, in the Study of Architecture in March 2012. Thesis title: ”Landscape project and environmental comfort in urban open spaces. A case study in Vado Ligure.” With her thesis, in collaboration with CNR (National Research Council in Bologna), she proved the benefit that large areas of trees and plants bring in order to reduce the urban heat island.
In 2013 she achieved the Professional License and started her practice as an intern in two Italian Building Workshops.
In 2014, after her registration in the Professional Order of Architects in Italy, she ended her practice as an intern and started sub consulting to Robert Turner Associates Limited.
In July 2016 she also became an English Architect recognised in the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and later in August 2016 she became a full member of the Royal Institute of British Architect (RIBA).
Most recently in April 2024 Giulia became a Passive House Certified Designer.
Giulia is guided in her projects by the understanding and respect of the architecture, history and landscape in which they are located. This is realised with the use of natural materials and with the return to traditional techniques for the well-being of the people of today. Much importance is also being given to the garden as a green area working together with architecture in order to achieve an organic realisation both from the design and from the practical and useful point of view (bioclimatic function and edible garden).
Giulia has a working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 which is at the forefront of her approach to executing both domestic and non-domestic architectural design.
